Diagnostics
NeuroDelta believes that it offers a significant advantage over all currently
available and late-stage development diagnostics.
Current work by a number of companies is looking at diagnostic techniques that utilise urine sampling,
neuroimaging, CSF markers (total tau, phosphotau and amyloid-β) and
blood tests to identify patients with AD. Recently, the first biochemical
test for identifying AD was made available. The
test utilises urine sampling but does not necessarily allow for any earlier diagnosis than was
already possible, nor does it guarantee 100% accuracy.
NeuroDelta intends to offer an entirely different approach by identifying chemical markers that will allow the first definitive, early-stage tests to be offered to patients.
